About the meme
Tiny Desk AI videos recast a desk-concert performance of the Gap Band's "Outstanding" with new faces. The trend started with a TikTok by @theburnerfromhe11 on October 18, 2026, "College Football's Week 8 All-Loss Tiny Desk Concert", which put five college football coaches whose teams lost that Saturday in place of the band; it had about 2.5 million views by October 26. NFL and NBA versions followed within days. The source was Charlie Wilson's 2023 NPR Tiny Desk set. This template turns one adult photo into the lead singer of an 8-second vertical office soul session; it uses its own staged scene, not NPR footage, and is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson or The Gap Band.
