About the meme
The Alors on Danse meme uses a 2010 comedy sketch from Made in Jamel in which French comedian Jamel Debbouze sits at a laptop and a mini keyboard and "writes" Stromae's hit "Alors on danse" while Stromae stands beside him. It is scripted comedy, not a real recording session. TikTok re-uploads of the sketch went viral again from April 2026, and from July people began recasting the two roles with AI, later with pets too. Know Your Meme's "Alors On Danse" entry covers a different meme, a 2021 dance trend.
