What does "Kinda Chic Trend" mean?

The Kinda Chic trend is a caption format on Instagram and TikTok: "kinda chic to..." followed by something ordinary or unglamorous, like being in your 50s, eating alone or going to bed early. Early posts appeared on Instagram in April 2026, and it took off in early August 2026, when Drew Barrymore posted her own version. Reese Witherspoon and Ashley Graham joined later that month, and NapoleonCat listed it among the popular memes of September.
