What does "Hug Your Younger Self AI Trend" mean?
The hug your younger self AI trend is a picture or short video of someone today hugging themselves as a child, usually styled as a faded Polaroid with white curtains behind. It took off in India in mid-September 2025, when people gave Google Gemini's Nano Banana image model a current photo and a childhood photo and shared the results on Instagram, WhatsApp and TikTok. Searches have faded since, though Tom's Guide listed a Valentine's version in February 2026.
