Editorial research
Where did 24 Car Trend (Unforgettable Car) come from?
The format is a selfie in an empty lot. The person stands in front of the phone with nothing behind them, raises a "2" card and then a "4" card so they read 24, and flicks them across the lens. When the cards clear, a sports car is parked behind them; they look back at it, grab their head and walk out of frame.
The earliest card version we found is a TikTok by @y0kun posted on September 2, 2026, captioned "24" (2.4 million plays when we read it on October 15). On August 23 the same creator had posted the same reveal to the same song with the numbers counted on fingers instead.
Car owners copied it through late September and early October, from a sunset Porsche by @vladkreii to a parking-garage take by @supercarvicky that passed 3.9 million plays. From around October 9, CapCut and other AI templates let people without a car make one from a selfie, and @starscreambf6 swapped the car for a fighter jet.
Why did 24 Car Trend (Unforgettable Car) take off?
The card flick hides the cut. One clip without the car and one with it, joined where the cards cover the lens, reads as a magic trick.
The timing is on the song. In the earliest takes the flick lands on the "Unforgettable" lyric that mentions 24, and the reaction plays under the chorus.
AI opened it to everyone. The top comments asked what to do without a car, and one-photo AI templates answered that.
How people play 24 Car Trend (Unforgettable Car)
1. Your dream car, no car needed
Upload one clear, front-facing photo from the chest up. The template does the flick and parks a dark grey coupe behind you.
2. Post it horizontal or crop it
The clip is 16:9 like most real takes. Post it as is, or crop it to vertical in your editor for Reels and TikTok.
3. Not the same as
The Car Jump AI trend, where a car flies over someone sitting on a chair. Here the car just appears behind you.

FAQ
What song is used in the 24 car trend?
"Unforgettable" by French Montana featuring Swae Lee (2017). Clips use the official video's track from about 62 seconds in; on TikTok it often shows up as an "original sound" under the poster's name.
Why 24?
The two cards spell 24, and in the earliest takes the flick lands on the lyric "I had enough convo for 24". That timing can be checked against the song; the creator has not said whether it was planned.
Who started the 24 car trend?
The earliest card version we found is a TikTok by @y0kun posted on September 2, 2026, captioned "24". The same creator posted a finger-count version with the same song on August 23.
Why do some videos read 42?
If the clip is mirrored, or the cards are held in the wrong order, viewers see 42 instead of 24. Commenters pointed this out on the @supercarvicky take.
